Quinton Greene grew up in the rural town of Alvin, SC in Berkeley County and worked on his grandfather’s farm. The farm work molded him into quite the handyman at an early age. His work around the farm varied from small to large jobs, such as; fence repair and home remodeling. While remodeling the farm house and barn, he was introduced to building codes and inspection criteria. His handyman skill set and astute attention to detail allowed him to easily identify improper and proper remodeling work. The lessons he learned in his youth would guide him to his first career choice in life, which came after graduating High School. He joined the Air Force and became an Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
Quinton’s job in the Air Force needed him to be extremely meticulous in order to ensure missions were completed in a safe and timely manner. He now compares his previous military experience/work to that of a general contractor. He was required to know the ins and outs of various systems and the components that made them work. He also had to know how to fix the components and the correct working order of the various systems. During his 20 years of Service, he was selected by his leadership to perform the additional duty of Facility Manager. He spent 8 years inspecting buildings, writing reports, and communicating discrepancies to the Base Civil Engineering Squadron. Near the end of his military career, he decided that his acquired skill set would be best used as a Home Inspector.
Quinton attained his meticulous inspection techniques from years of inspecting aircrafts and buildings in the military, and also from the combined experiences of his childhood. His interest in Home Inspection peaked when he observed the inspection of his home and the inspections of a few of his family members homes. After his military retirement and the proper home inspection training, he opened Greene Home Inspections, LLC. This business was established to ensure that his clients will have the best home inspection possible.
